We had a beautiful sail from Nassau to Normans, a reach the whole way. Perfect winds and a great trip. Finally we are out of the hustle and bustle of city life and moving on island time. Yea!! When we arrived in the harbor there was about five boats and one person was in their dinghy cracking conch. Now this is what we remembered about being out and about cruising , making your own way because there is not a corner store to run to for dinner.
Norman’s Cay is famous because of Carlos Leder the notorious Colombian drug lord. He once lived on this island and there is even a old drug runner plane sunk in the harbor that is good to snorkel on. Ever watch the movie “Blow” starring Johnny Depp? It describes some of what went on out here. We however come for the incredible views, check it out…
Need we say anything more on how beautiful it is here? Breathtaking!
We’ve had fun exploring and will be sailed to Shroud Cay next. It was highly recommended by some new friends that we met in Nassau. Carl and Carly. So we’ll let you know what we think. It’s just a short sail from Norman’s, about five and half miles.
We’ve got lots to post now that we have made it to Georgetown and have internet so get your reading glasses on and be prepared.
Until next time,
Jennifer and Brian

My home town is Otisville New York.
Otisville federal prison is where Johnnie Depp’s character makes his home.
Cool story, awesome islands!!!!
Good pic of Brian and Pierre!!!
Have fun…I guess I don’t need to say that…LOL!
So is that white sands or what fell out of sunken planes?
