Hope that you all had a great Thanksgiving…we certainly did, ate too much but I think that is pretty much a given. Mom and I made a big dinner with all of the trimmings…one to remember. Yum, I get hungry just thinking about it! Talked to Rachel and seems like she had a good day too celebrating a home cooked meal with all of her friends.

We had fun in St. Pete and had a chance to do some exploring in town. Ron took us to Don’s Marine Salvage which was pretty cool and overwhelming at the same time. This place is huge!! If you need it for your boat they have it….there was so much to see, barns and barns of boat stuff. We are in search of a propane stove to replace ours on the boat which we believe is original from the 70’s. It’s a bit of a rust bucket now and we are down to only 2 burners of the 4 working. It’s pretty heavy too and if you know Brian and how he is about weight on the boat he is really ready to get rid of the thing. They had lots of stoves but not the right one for us so we are still searching and hoping that we can find one somewhere in Ft. Myers. Don’s is pretty cool though and if your ever in St. Pete you should check it out.

Brian at the Helm
Our bikes are awesome!! Mom has the Pinellas Trail right behind her house. This gave us easy access to just about everything that you can think of without having to worry about traffic so that was really nice.

The new dingy engine is also awesome. We are really spoiling ourselves this time with all of our new toys. It was great being able to fly between the boat and mom’s docks without Brian having to row.
Archie’s Island
We visited Archie’s Island again and took Mom with us this time. I think that she liked it. The bay that we were in, Boca Ciega Bay was prefect, so nice and protected for the strong cold fronts that pushed through while we were here. It got really cold (40’s) while we were here and mom’s house was real haven. Of course I got my fix for Little Italy’s pizza too. For those of you who don’t know I’ve been visiting this pizza parlor since I was 6 or 7….it has absolutely the best pizza ever! You can ask Rachel because we have her hooked on it too and Little Italy’s is a must for us when we come to see my mom!

I guess that’s it for now. Currently we are sitting in the harbor at Cayo Costa…beautiful here. I’ll let you know about our journey here and the adventures that we’ve had along the way soon.
